Does my at&t blackberry Pearl have to be acctivated to unlock?
My friend is giving me his old blackberry pearl from at&t, i am buying a t mobile sim and need to unlock the phone.
so im wondering if it has to be acctivated?

My service provider is AT&T, which sells the blackberry pearl - but I want it in pink, which seems to only be available through Verizon. I'm in the United States.

It’s pretty surprising that no major US carriers (aside from Cincinnati Bell ) have picked up the Pearl 3G yet. It was expected months ago, but for some reason is nowhere to be found. Well Engadget is reporting that it may finally be showing up on AT&T in less than a month. According to a rumored device list, both the Pearl 3G and Curve 3G will be making their way to AT&T (with a bunch of other devices) on October 3rd. So if you’ve been missing out on some SureType action, you won’t have to wait much longer.

I had this phone and dont plan on having this phone over a certain amount of time, its built to fail. mine died after about a year of usage. same thing happened to a friends. the back cover is cheap and tends to fall off a lot which will known the battery lose and the boot time is very very long. this phone should be a free phone not 100 bucks. just get a real blackberry like i did.
hey i need help with this phone.. suddenly my external display was prompting the incomming call and all of sudden it is not showing the numbers. it does show the regular stiff like the clock, missed called but its not isplaying the caller id as who is calling.. can you help me out in that way… asi think i made some changes.. if possible give me step by step as i am really new to blackberry flip.

I have a used Blackberry Flip black in color with a Yankee’s Skin It on the battery cover. It is in perfect functioning condition, and just ok on the outside, there are some chips to the silver side paneling around the outside of the screen. But it works great other than that, I am also including a 1 GB Scandisck memorycard. However I have to keep the charger and the usb cord for my new BB. So you will have to get those on your own.
