Can I get the Blackberry Bold from att without having to pay for the data service?
I am planning to get a Blackberry Bold from att but i don't need the data service because i have wifi. So what are my options for getting it without a data plan.
you can not buy and blackberry without the data service. they will automaticly put it onto your plan. you can bet the cheapest data service instead of unlimited though. i have the blackberry bold and unlimited data and love having internet where ever

You need to get it unlocked, but it is kind of hard to find a code or convince customer care to give it to you. The data isnt guaranteed to work either, but you can try!

Best Buy is going to release it Oct 26th. Since Best Buy doesnt actually release the bold along with the AT&T stores, expect the Bold to be at your local AT&t store about 2 weeks prior to Best Buy's release.

i heard boost mobile uses SIM cards together with their i-Den network, why cant they accept my AT&T Blackberry Bold??? very serious thing. i mean, im paying $130 a month for ATT, and BOOST is $50!!!!! and my BBerry Bold is in way to great condition
1. Att phones are always Locked for att network,so you cannot use it without Att simcard.You have to get it unlocked to use with other service.

The touch BlackBerry Bold 9900, the first of a fresh batch of RIM smartphones running on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system, is now included in the Federal Communications Commission data base. Typically, the FCC inclusion means the entry has been cleared for commercial release.

This is a well made, form fitting cellphone case. It sits securely on your belt, and, tough I prefer it to stay vertical always, it has a ratcheting mechanism that allows you to adjust its angle all the way to horizontal, with stops along the way (which is pretty useful in some chairs)

Question About My At&t Service? - CDMA - Search 3G
My boyfriend and I just got At&t service. He Is in the 3g area and I am according to the At&t Coverage map, not in the At&t coverage area, but partner service. But My Samsung Solstice phone says At&t on the Status thingy. But when I try to make a call without the area code, it says “welcome to Us Cellular please dial all 10 digits” Us Cell is a CDMA car rier and At&t is GSM, so why is it saying Us Cellular? Thanks for the help
Although US Cell may be primarly CDMA, they probably own cell towers that carry all 4 freq. and both GSM and GDMA so they make more money having service agreements allowing other companies to “roam” on their network. ATT’s plans are ALL Natonal now, so it doesn’t matter what network you are picking up on anywhere in the US, there are no additonal charges. I would just be happy that you have service! I know the 10digit thing is a pain, but if you travel often its just easier to go thru and program all your numbers with 10digits so it won’t be a problem!

My friend says that you can unlock a blackberry bold to any other service and she is goin to do hers to metro pcs. but i dont think you can because those phones require a sim card. so will it work or not? because if it really does then i want to do the same. my cousin just unlocked her iphone to tmobile service because att is not doing the unlimited plan anymore and her bill is like 90 bucks
